Hi! I’m Oscar, 20 years old and based in the Netherlands. My passion for model trains started with both of my grandfathers — they each had their own model railway, and as a kid, I was absolutely fascinated by them.
Four years ago, I started sharing photos and videos of my own layout (and others’) on Instagram. I quickly noticed how many model train fans were searching for inspiration and connection. That’s when I started thinking:
What if we had one single platform where train lovers from all over the world could connect and inspire each other?
I couldn’t find a place like that.
So I decided to build it.
Why Model Train Media Exists
Model Train Media is the first-ever social media platform fully dedicated to model trains. No random content. No sketchy algorithms. Just trains.
Launched on May 1st, our goal is to reach our first 500 users and build a global hub where hobbyists can share, connect, and grow together.
We believe that model railroading deserves its own space — free from distractions, full of inspiration. This platform is made for the community, by the community.
