New Rolling Stock for the WKR N-scale Layout.
2/24/26 The Purchasing Department of the WKR acquired four of the newly issued Atlas Master Gunderson Cryogenic cars. We already have four in service and these are easily modified for better performance. More on that later…

Scratch-built Track Switches on the WKR N-scale Layout
The Track Gang on the WKR recently scratch-built a couple of curved switches for a Friend’s layout. The same procedures constructed every switch on the WKR. Scratch-built Safety Rail System on the WKR N-scale Layout
Back in November 2025, the Scenery Crew of the Western Kansas Rails (WKR) layout completed scratch-building from brass a safety rail system for the Pride Ag Co-Op grain elevator. Upgrading Rolling Stock on the WKR N-scale Layout - Part 3
(Pic 1) With the coupler pocket, truck frames, and wheel sets painted, it’s time to paint the couplers. (Pic 2) Craft paint, Burnt Sienna is a good match for Rust color. (Pic 3) The trucks for car one are complete. (Pic 4) The process continues with the other two cars. (Pic 5) All three truck sets are correctly painted for each car.
