I liked the general shape and the pull-through track feature but the weird wood paneling didn&#8217;t sit right with me. I&#8217;ve been trying of late to track down a sample of the SD40-2 Wisconsin Central loco that was released in 2025 by Intermountain. Preorder supposedly expired 5/30. Dealers cannot tell me anything more than that. I&#8217;ll keep looking.</p>

They look great with my 0-6-0…which is once again in pieces as I need to solve an electrical pickup issue caused by me moving the traction tires to the rear wheels, which vastly improved traction. </p>

All 3 controllers work well, but one of the switches was apparently defective so it rarely works in one of the directions. Otherwise, they work great. Slow-speed control is great good by my standards. Better than my Bachman starter set controller. </p>

The plan is for it to be able to power 3 isolated sections of track at once (the yard and both of the mainline loops will have a controller each). The individual controllers are rated for 48V, 20A and I’ll be running them at 12V, 3A max so they should be just fine. </p>
