| About me |
I’ve been a model railroader for as long as I can remember, going back to having Life-Like train sets at the age of 5.
I model the Colorado & Southern’s “Falcon Branch”, which was a standard gauge line that ran south from Denver to Pueblo via the prairie towns east of the front range. Nicknamed the “Polywog” or just “Poly” by the locals as the line featured many curves as it climbed the Palmer divide, it was once a mainline that became a branchline terminating in Falcon in the early 20th century.
I model the branchline in HO scale in the 1920s, with my end cut off being 1927, when the C&S locomotives began getting CB&Q lettering with C&S sub-lettering instead.
There are no commercially available models that are correct for modeling any of the small C&S steam that plied the branch, so most of my modeling involves kitbashing or 3d printing models that fit my needs. Stay tuned for a future layout occupying a 12×36′ room in the barn.
