You might be crazy if… you model more than 1 scale at a time! In addition to HO scale, I currently am making an N scale twice around loop for my sons. Once done, this will hopefully look like southern California. We’re currently building a foam mountain to hide the crossover, giving the illusion of the train leaving and it coming back as a new train on the opposite loop track. Power consists of a DCC/Sound Atlas GE B40-8W in Santa Fe warbonnet scheme. The overall layout size is just 4 foot by 2 foot. Plenty small enough to put away and pull out when the kids want trains.

@US_Z_Scale I’ve got a night stand that I dont currently use. It could be the perfect base for a little Z scale layout and a great talking piece for my fellow hobbying friends!

@Conor That sounds like a great idea! I actually built my first Z Scale Layout out of a 20×22 inch shelf that our microwave was on when we moved into our house. Still got it and it worked out great!
