Somewhere, I acquired this old Model Power brewery kit. I liked the general shape and the pull-through track feature but the weird wood paneling didn’t sit right with me. I decided to make it some kind of maintenance building with rail access so there are some manual and CNC machines installed in there, etc. I figured I’d want to work…

Overall I prefer to print my walls laying down and use ironing, so print-and-assemble. I find the layer lines harder to hide when they’re aligned with the horizon because we typically light from above so the shadows show up at the “hull lines” a lot more. I’ve been fooling around with fuzzy skin on portions of print-in-place models but I model… Read more

I see a lot of potential here. I’m not sure that the feed vs discussions on the individual groups is catching on; I see most of the activity in feeds and it doesn’t seem like we’re digging further yet. I do like the separation of quick “ephemeral” posts vs longer term discussions.

Here’s a little waiting platform modeled from a Soviet bus stop I thought was cool. It’s in N scale but should re-scale anywhere you want to go. Easy to make on any old FDM printer.

I threw it up on Printables:
