Little Weldon
Hello, please allow me to introduce myself. I have been a lifelong model railway enthusiast. My current layout measures 11’4″ x 5’10” and runs around the edge of the Railway / Spare room
When I was around 19 – 20 I was given the remains of a friends “train set”. This was an A4 a N2 some carriages, wagons a couple of platform’s a signal box and some track. To me this was amazing all cast metal and Tinplate, with a third rail laid down the centre of the tracks.. All the pieces bore the legend “Made in Liverpool”
This gift was the start of my interest in Hornby Dublo. On and off over the next 40 or so years I started to build up a collection. For several years I produced temporary layouts for public display. But for 20 or so years the collection got boxed up and was left at my parents.
However 8.5 years ago room finally became available for me to build my dream layout. By this time I had sold all my 2 rail and just had the HD and Little Weldon was born. My initial idea was to try and build a typical layout that could have been built during the late 1950s early 60s using as many period accessories and techniques as I could.

Thanks for sharing! Awesome trains with an even better story! Do you still have those original cars somewhere?

@SwellyXpress yes I regularly run those items that I was given over 40 years ago. I am still in touch with the person that gave them to me as well.
