Hi my name is Eddie MacKinnon enjoying retirement and now reaching my 8 score years I have enjoyed  my model railway collection have tried to collect locomotives that have been over the West Highland Railway, did start way back in 1985 with a lima n gauge set  adding at that time farish,arnold and others  had a nice layout set around Crainlarich  but that was passed onto  to Linwood MRC which they exhibited and the station board was incorporated their layout; as my home circumstances changed it took me a long time to come back into modelling tried OO but no space to keep a layout used a track set up in my garden but it did not last long due to weather and space. Now have tried a few small N gauge projects using N TTrack, and pocket modules but hex track seem to fit what I want to achieve which is portability combined with a easy setup that I can run my trains on, the building and scenery will be small modules which can be moved around to meet my vision of the WHR. I have done a few buildings scratch build they could be improved in the future  but now Looking for a lot of inspiration and there is a lot of that around the internet but for me small steps at a time I look forward to seeing this web site progress and I am glad to be accepted as part of it
