Hello a bit of drawn out waffle

Hi im Alan(grasbo, old nickname)64 yrs old.About 10 yrs ago i went to a deceased estate sale of model kits, sream engines ,model trains, diecast cars, etc.I came home with 3 large boxes of ho/oo train locos rolling stock, track, scenery, buildings, electrics, etc.Someof it was rough, needing repair, etc but there was even new stuff still in the box, including 4 locos. All for $80 Aus.I was hooked. The missus was horrified. But we had a double garage shed so that solved that problem, sort of🤣.I started building a quite an impressive layout when a huge tree came down in a storm and destroyed the shed and everything in it( and nearly ourselves as well as our bedroom was only feet away).I started looking at n scale and now have an extensive collection of locos, rolling stock, track, etc.Ive started on two layouts with one an industrial/staging/shunting yard which will be divided by a river with girder bridges leading on to layout two with rolling hills, viaducts, tunnels, with a village and station or three next to a lake.I acquired a heap of chalet Alpine buidings so im going with that theme.I have only just started layout one but im happy with the track layout.Number two is just pencil lines and ideas on the baseboard but i can picture how it will be in my head.Of course it is a completely fictional setting and purists are going to horrified that i will be running old steam trains next to bullet trains and Sante Fe diesels.I dont care,im just after the entertainment and model building skills. On a more realistic scenario here in Tasmania my great grandfather drove Wee Georgie Wood (see profile pic)for many years (1924-1938?)at the isolated mining town of Tullah. The restored and much loved Fowler Wee George runs around a loop of the small town as the original track is now underwater because of the dam built in the 70s for Hydro Electric co.I plan to build a layout of the town today with George doing the loop. But i have yet to find a loco of George or similar, most likely 009 guage. Can anyone help.Enough of my waffling. The sight looks impressive .😀
