Satisfying!
I discovered a new sense of satisfaction while gluing down the track…It feels like reaching the end of a book or having cooked a steak to the perfect temperature or hitting all reps of a set. I know this is just the beginning, but it feels great to have the track static!
I’m about 1/3 complete, I’m doing about 3 feet at a time, as life allows, so that I can focus and prevent drift. I did ruin a #4 turnout! I had forgotten there are holes underneath the turnout, so caulk had entered the turnout and locked it up…I hate burning $$$ as much as the next guy, dang it! Fortunately, I had a spare and was able to swap it out before the caulk had set.
If you didn’t know, the KATO re-railer has features built-in to it…here, you can see it used to space the mainline evenly apart.
Happy Day to ya!
