Time to share another video! Since 2025 is almost over this is going back to the earliest productions from the DMG channel. After putting out a layout tour video of my own model railroad, one of the next projects I wanted to tackle was a collaborative video between two or three others that are part of our local club in Rapid City, SD. This resulted in the “$20 Train Show Challenge” video. The idea is that we would all see what we could get for $20 or less at the Rocky Mountain Train Show in Denver, CO. Of course, since we’re all train addicts that proved to be impossible but we did still come out with some screaming deals!

It’s been a long road so far from February, 2025. But it has also been an amazing journey! I’ll be posting past videos to this thread over the next few days, but let’s start with the first one I made for the channel. This video is a layout tour of my Black Hills and Fort Pierre layout modeled in HOn3. The BHFP was a narrow gauge railroad in the Black Hills of South Dakota that ran from Lead to Piedmont from 1880 to 1930. I am in the process of building an 8×12 layout which will feature models of equipment used on the line in the area around Nemo.
