I built this over the long weekend. It is 17×21 inches, using Kato Unitrack’s 150mm curves with a Bachmann Plymouth switcher and 40-foot boxcars. I used Woodland Scenics ground foam for the trees, bushes, and grass and fine ballast for the gravel road and parking area. The small building is a scratch built that I picked up at a train…

I have another hex painted and track attached. I am going to a show next weekend and hope to pick up something to put on this one. I was thinking about maybe a junk yard scene on it or possibly a farm scene.

@BananaTie To me they are more for dioramas than operations. While you can run a train around the loop(s) and you can use the 150mm turnouts, they just don’t really offer as much as T-Trak in my opinion. A picture of my first Hex-Trak module. It isn’t quite completed, it still needs people and maybe a couple of vehicles on it. But I think that it turned out pretty well for my first attempt. I learned a lot while working on it and it has given me the drive to do more with Hex-Trak and to get back into my T-Trak work.
