I bought two train sets in 1994 and setup a small loop. This endedup behind a shelf. In Jan2025 a friend moved into a condo and gave me a 8′ high storage system full of HO train stuff from the 1970’s. The old track came out and got two loops with switches. A 4X8 layout was started. This is DC with brass track. This is the learning setup for all the mistakes. I changed the DC controllers to use laptop power supplies with PWM controllers and this makes the slow and the hills work better. The wood bridge is hand made from scratch. I know 4×8, Brass and DC are all NONO’s these days but this is the first setup and I am having a lot of fun and education. A spy cam gives a POV experiance.
