I was an avid trainspotter in Lincoln and surrounding areas in my youth in the early 70s, and picked up by first scale model at that time (a Hornby Brush 2 with the ringfield motor).

After a long hiatus without modelling activity, I model British outline in OO scale in a 40 ft shipping container on my farm in Ontario. The layout loosely represents my old home-town of Grimsby (and adjacent Cleethorpes), the end of the Great Central (formerly Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway) and its main port – and also the end of the Great Northern East Lincolnshire line. The model is under construction, and I intend to commence running it in Late BR days (era 5), although it could also be run as eras 4-6 without change, and era 4 by removing a building (the newer Cleethorpes station building).

I am also collecting some TT120 for a future portable layout, and I possess some North American outline in HO (steam) and n-scale (Diesel) for running on local club layouts.
