Track alignment is a constant. I had a set of track workers all given jobs but for two. They&#8217;re going to be surveyors. I need a theodilite . There is one but works out at $36&#8230; Ugh.<br />

Like a game of Tetris, everything fell together. I had the two elevations when I realised that I could add a third line to mimic Allen&#8217;s only my version is a dummy track and modelled as being restored from dormancy.</p>

I&#8217;ll start by saying there a some great how-to&#8217;s on YouTube but suffice to say, it is very srraight forward. </p>
<p>Foam , particularly sponge. I bought a big bag of recycled foam which is just diced up off cuts of various shades. You can used car wash sponges. </p>
<p>These will need to be reduced in size. I tried a mincer but didn&#8217;t&hellip;</p>

If its just pva, then get it wet to weaken the bond. You can then gently slide a paint scraper blade underneath to lift it. No point in destroying good flex if it can be avoided. If you wind up separating rail from tie strip, the spikes usually allow you to slide the rails back through. Otherwise, it&#8217;s&hellip;</p>

The track was really close to the backdrop and the train wouldn&#039;t look at that good casting a shadow across the valley beyond&#8230; so I decided on the 12mm Forest.
