I started in ‘O’ gauge many years ago back in 2007 when a friend suggested I simply “buy a wagon kit and see what I think if it” I was obsessed right away! My first locomotive was a Black 5 and over the past 15 years or so I have collected over 35 locos now.

In 2015 I started to build what became ‘Newton Grove 19F’. At a modest sie it is only 9ft x 18inches. The layout has appeared in BRM magazine, Hornby Magazine and the Gauge O Gazette. The layout has been exhibited several times around the UK too.

Now in 2025 I have started my next ‘O’ gauge layout which is a lot bigger than Newton Grove, at 16ft long and 3ft wide (plus storage yards too) I am really looking forward to this build and can’t wait to get locos running soon.
