Phoenix Train Works designs and builds educational models in L-gauge of unusual and hazardous cargo trains used in the STEM industry, such as nuclear energy and steel mill related trains. These trains are designed to run on standard track and certain builds can have relevant play features in spirit of the real trains they represent. The founder, M.P.Lynes believes in promoting STEM to the next generation of scientists and engineers through these models built with only Lego parts. He showcases them in public exhibits alongside his fellow members of Steel City LUG in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
