I am Henry van Wyk, passionate modeler and content creator. I have been a model railroader since age 5, which gives me 55 years experience. I am living in South Africa, and model South African railways, during 1980 to 1990. This gives me the freedom to run steam, diesel and electric motive power. My main layout is a bookshelf system, double deck and is in a single garage. It is DCC using the Roco z21 and mobile phones as throttles.

I have a second layout in my study, this is a small L shaped dc controlled layout, built with a dual purpose. As a marketing tool for my layout design and building services and as a test bed for dc locos, as I also do repairs to model trains.
