Hi all.  I model HO and HOn3 in the USA.    I don’t model a specific railroad, I am a free lance modeler.  I prefer short lines that interchange with Class 1 type railroads.   I model the years of 1940 – 1965, with a little leeway on either side (I model and run what I like).  I am building a 2 level layout in a 16 ft x 20 ft room that is dedicated to the trains.   I utilize NCE DCC and I mess around with various Arduino “circuits” and sketches/programs (I’m trying to learn more).  I operate as semi-prototypical type operations but do not utilize a formal switch list, or car cards yet, but as things expand and get built I’m sure there will be some sort of formality in the future.

I recently retired as a career firefighter in the Los Angeles, California, USA area and now I have more time to spend with the train hobby.   I’m curious to see where the modeltrainmedia will take me (and us).    Thanks for including me.
