Helped my dad build (more accurately ‘watched) an HO scale layout in our basement back in the 70’s. My dad moved on to other hobbies but I kept building Campbell kits. Building buildings is still my favorite thing to do in the hobby. There was a long hiatus from the hobby – with the occasional purchase of Model Railroader. Got back in the early 2000’s doing a lot of research on Sacramento’s R Street Corridor’s railroad history and there’s a lot. As mentioned elsewhere I’m a member (and current president) of the Sacramento Modular Railroaders and I’ve been on again off again working on a model of Western Pacific’s 3rd and R street freight house that I hope to finish some day for the club.
