I’ve grown up a lifelong train fan. My grandpa collected O scale trains and had a huge collection and layout (Some Lionel, mainly MTH). It was our way of bonding every time I would come over, whether I was sitting in a high chair watching him run the trains or him letting me run them later on. Now with him passed on, and most of his trains either sold or given to different grandkids, my dad and I hope to continue the tradition of model railroading, building our own HO scale layout and O scale ceiling loop. The hobby is very much alive!
