So, I had this blank space on the layout and thought it was time to do something with it. It was not particularly large and the curved tracks behind limited what could be done. Originally there was no hedge at the front but I had put that in before taking the first photo. I made up a couple of Metcalfe workers cottages and a crofters cottage, added some brown scatter for earth and a few trees and it creates a nice little hamlet. The hedge to the nearside of the tracks is complete but I need some more hedging and a few trees to fill the space on the far side of the tracks. At the moment the buildings are sitting slightly high at the front with a slight gap because the glue for the scatter was not dry when I took the photos, but later when I vacuum off the excess scatter they will sit down properly.
