Here are a series of photos from my kit bash of a Faller “Play Train”. I became interested in taking this on as a project as I was in need of a cheap, 32mm gauge steam engine for my garden railway, and had seen a few old forum posts from other people who had also modified them. I bought one on ebay for about £20 and set to work “anglosizing” it. I started off by cutting off the big, silly funnel, and replaced it with a smaller 3D Printed British outline one. As well as this I also added some side tanks. After painting I produced some new buffer beams, and added glazing. Defiantly a great, cheap way to get into the hobby.
