A couple of photos of a layout I’m helping to restore for a car museum in Gippsland. The layout was donated to the museum – without any trains included. It was a DC layout with everything operated manually. We’re converting it to a fully automated DCC layout. Been working on it now for over 2 years. Still a long way to go.

Well done. Might have to make a trip to the museum when the work is completed

@Shazz that could be a while. The layout shall eventually be able to operate without supervision, but a few more things to be done before we’re ready for that. In the meantime, plenty of scenery to repair, tracks to wire up, realign etc. Level crossings to automate, building lights to connect up, trees to install, a mine, complete with its own narrow gauge railway to get working, roundhouse with turntable to get working and lots more.
At present, usually operating on Mondays when the work group is there. Maffra is the location.
