While doing a little testing for a project I have on the bench, I figured I’d try out a couple other pieces to see if they’d work.

This is a 7″ radius curve, which the East Penn Traction Club states as the minimum radius for all interurban equipment on street trackage with radial couplers.

Standard freight cars up to 40′ were listed as maxed out on a 14″ curve.

While a 40′ car is absolutely not making this, anything shorter than 36′ does make it with standard coupler boxes.

This means you can get real creative setting up interurban additions on your own layout, and still stuff a lot of short cars down this kind of track. It’ll put a hard limit on what you can run through it, but maybe that’s the challenge.
