Here is a photo of myself from 2014 in the cab of Canadian National SD70M-2 8904. The locomotive was on public display for the 100th anniversary of Central Station in Memphis, TN along with engines and rolling stock from Norfolk Southern, Amtrak and GATX. The 8904 was also open for tours of the cab as part of the event.
I was volunteering at this event and was able to get on the 8904 before the doors opened.

Another one from more recent history, December 2024. Here I am with Norfolk Southern’s (at the time) latest heritage locomotive number 4851. Painted for the Tennessee, Alabama & Georgia Railway (commonly called the TAG) the unit was rebuilt from C44-9W 9538 at NS’s Juniata Shops in Altoona, PA and made it’s debut at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum at a private event held by NS for their employees. I was working at TVRM at that time and had access to the locomotive so I took full advantage to get photos of it. It’s really something in person!
