Match Wagon Pros:
*Easier to install (theoretically)
*Can install most types of coupler
*Can result in smoother runningCons:
*May not be the most realistic method, depending on country preference.
Emergency Coupler Pros:
*Direct loco to MU connection
*Offers more realism for emergency situation recreations
*Less space usedCons:
*Can be fiddly to fit and stay fitted
*Smaller scales will struggle to recreate this
*More chance of uncoupling without proper modifying.I’ve had success with both methods on Kato stock and utilise this for added interest. Although I have since added double coupler Tomix locos to the fleet, which fulfil the Tomix DMU movements fine.
