Hi all. Heard about this website from the MRRP (Model Railway Replacement Podcast) . Recommend others take a listen if you have not heard of it. Currently working on the railways of Glynoch and Rathmor. Have a (work in progress) blog about it. Will try to post updates here too occasionally. Looking forward to see what others have been working on. The Story Behind Glynoch & Rathmor Railway | Glynoch and Rathmor Railway

@westernsignalman Thanks! It will be at Taunton on 25th/26th October, or Weymouth 1st/2nd November if you are thinking of visiting either of those. Make sure you come and say hello if you do. Love MRRP, keep batting for us 009ers on the show! đŸ™‚

Glad I’m not the only one to write some lore around their railway. Going to have great fun giving this a read over.

@MinimumGauge Thanks. Very much ‘work in progress’, but it is starting to take shape. There are 25 towns across the islands. Each has their own story and industries and a brief history on how the railways changed the town. Probably about half way through the image updates now. I think the text on the town pages is almost complete. Loving creating all the varied back stories for the industries. Eventually this will allow me to create specific wagons/locos etc for each industry. Will also be creating a bit of a ‘newspaper blog’ that will be based on the ‘On this day in history’ style where I can talk about specific events that happened on the islands on specific days in the past. Then with all that info I can continue building various modules of the islands as stand alone layouts, that can eventually all connect up (space permitting!)
