  • What is the PC&NP? Lore Dump

This post consists of a rather large lore drop for the fictional railroad that will occupy my layout. There is quite a bit of creative liberties taken with the lore, including some re-writing of history.

The PC&NP is a fictional North Dakota-based class 2 railroad founded in 2010 by the merging of three Class 3 railroads—The Pioneer Central and…

I planted all of the trees and now the next step is to ballast all of the track.

afterwards I will focus on installing the signals and I am looking forward to keep making my layout more realistic everyday!

  • Another Layout Update

    Heylo and Happy Monday everyone!

I have another update on the layout, got the foam fully cut and laid out so now i just need to glue the pieces together and make sure they stay all flat.

I also got a bunch more track from my local hobby shop Colonial Photo & Hobby to get even close to the full layout track plan, here’s some pictures of it all,…

  • New Switcher

I received this BLI NYO&W NW2 switcher as a late Christmas gift from my brother. The NYO&W abandon operations in 1957, so now I have backdate a little bit and ‘build’ a train for it to pull and switch. Our father was a huge O&W fan. I’m thinking a simple local. Finding a caboose is going to be a challenge as Atlas is the only company to produce…

These are rigid knuckle couplers that snap together by pushing the cars together and they release by pulling the cars apart. Can anyone identify them?

I assumed they were MTLs (or…

  • My friend came to run trains today and we did this

Of course, we had to put all our BN/BNSF locomotives in a lashup and then have it run with my GN empire builder.

The F7s, SD70ACe, and ES44AC are mine. The GP30 and both C44-9Ws are my friends.

  • Modules

Here is my ‘NO Dumping’ / Tucker Creek, Pennsylvania and Fischer Street Viaduct modules. ‘NO Dumping’ is a combined Single Bridge and Single Straight with a 2mm spacer between them to give the standard Double length. The viaduct is a Single Arch Bridge. All modules are from Klawndyke’s.
