I didn’t wanna do the obligatory Coal Mill. I decided to do something that I hadn’t seen on other layouts, A Gypsum mill. If you don’t know, Gypsum is used to make drywall. We have some Gypsum mills in Alabama. I decided to build my own and scratch built it from several kits I had.
This is Alabama Gypsum

Two new engines to fuel my european fanaticisms have arrived, and they’ve been named! 310.23 ‘Élise Claire’ & 16 005 ‘Universe’.
Élise Claire is hauling the Orient Express, which just fuels me with nostalgia for MS Train Simulator, Universe meanwhile will be hauling a new train service. (More later)

Picked up these three Athearn sedan kits from a second hand table at a recent model train show. Never seen these before, so I thought I better grab some for my collection. I’ll have to make one up to see what they look like.

Whether it’s a weathered GP15, a gleaming Eagle consist, or a MoPac caboose bringing up the rear, these models keep the…
