I didn’t wanna do the obligatory Coal Mill. I decided to do something that I hadn’t seen on other layouts, A Gypsum mill. If you don’t know, Gypsum is used to make drywall. We have some Gypsum mills in Alabama. I decided to build my own and scratch built it from several kits I had.

Introducing the Western Kansas Rails N-scale Layout (WKR)
The WKR is a sectional traveling layout designed to bring pieces of life in Western Kansas to the public. The layout is 18-feet by 24-feet.

I built this over the long weekend. It is 17×21 inches, using Kato Unitrack’s 150mm curves with a Bachmann Plymouth switcher and 40-foot boxcars. Brand New - N gauge
