One Year Anniversary!
On March 17th, 2025 I officially became the owner of US Z Scale. It’s been an incredible year of having fun and learning more, not just about trains, but being a business owner as well. On March 17th, 2026 at 3:17 PM Eastern Time I will be doing a give-away for a free locomotive for the first 3 people to submit orders exactly at that time!
Here’s the rules.
- The first 3 orders placed on March 17th 2026 at 3:17 PM Eastern Time will receive one free locomotive of your choosing!
- The time the orders come in on my end must be at exactly 3:17 PM Eastern
Time on 03/17/2026 to be considered for winning. If there are none at
that time, I will go with the closest after 3:17 PM Eastern Time. 3:18,
3:19, etc. - Orders before 3:17 PM Eastern Time on 03/17/2026 will NOT be considered to win.
- If it gets to 3:30 PM Eastern Time and there are three or less orders in
then I will just go with those. 3:30 PM Eastern Time on 03/17/2026 will
be the cutoff time for the competition. - I will go by the times on the back end of my website for accuracy.
- Orders must be at a $300 minimum not including the $10.95 shipping cost or
the cost of the free locomotive. - You must order a minimum of $300
worth of products and then add the locomotive you are trying to win on
top of that. - The J Class Brass Locomotives are excluded from the choice of a free locomotive.
- Free locomotives apply only to single locomotives, not A & B sets or the CSX/Tropicana Consist.
- When you submit your order you will be charged for the full price of the
order and the 3 winners will be refunded for their free locomotives. - I will personally let the winners know that they won minutes after the
deadline so you will know whether you won or not. If you haven’t heard
from me shortly after then it’s safe to say that you didn’t win. - I would like to kindly ask that you please NOT email or call to ask if
you’ve won during that time so I can keep the lines clear as I do
contact the winners. I will send out another email like this to
announce the winners with their permission. - For the winners, your refund will be submitted immediately. Depending on
whether you pay with PayPal or a credit/debit card that may determine
how long it takes to receive your refund. - Best of luck to all participating!

@casey-jones Thanks so much! It’s been an awesome first year and I’ve had a blast serving others and introducing many into the Z Scale world. As you know, I model in all scales, but I push Z the most for those limited on space that really want to get into the hobby. Z Scale’s for the single guy living in an efficiency apartment who doesn’t think he has enough space for a model railroad or for the guy going through a mid-life crisis who’s wife thinks he doesn’t have enough space for a model railroad! Hehe.
