First Timer
I’m new to the hobby. I’m 55 going on 56. I’ve always loved trains. I have no clue what I’m doing as far as wiring and making sure everything is set up correctly. I’m basically just going to go with a simple layout and then watch a bunch of videos from maybe you guys on how to wire it. Maybe not so much with DIY and digital guy‘s, he’s a little above my pay grade. I do appreciate how he puts everything together with his technical knowledge. But I’m looking for something on off simple not wires everywhere. But I do appreciate what he does cause. It looks really cool.

Try joining a local club, or look into joining the NMRA. They have a huge library on all things model railroading.

Welcome to Model Train Media Mark, and also welcome to the hobby!
You can always ask questions here and then we can help with some advice, it is great to start off with a smaller layout to learn the basics and afterwards you can always expand.

Welcome! If it is going to be a “simple” layout then DC is fine. 4′ x 8′ oval, etc… ? HO scale? N scale? Again all depends on what “simple” means to you. Running just one train / loco at a time, no reverse loops, very few turnouts, etc… 😀
