Following on from my post about my Golden Eagle. The carriages she pulls are worthy of their own post. Starting with the diagram 344 BG (full brake) and diagram 348 FK (first corridor with ladies retiring room). Both are modified Bachmann RTR, those modifications being
. Strips of plasticard for fairings over the solebars
. Painting and weathering the roofs
. Weathering the underframes and ends
. Renumbering to vehicles assigned to The Flying Scotsman service.
. Destination boards
. Swapping the regular roof vents on the FK for monsoon vents fashioned out of plasticard
. Modifying the far right compartment window to appear as a ladies retiring room.
