Hey Friends!

I’ve been impressed with painted rails, so I decided to give it a go. I’m using Woodland Scenic’s Track Painter Paint Pen – Steel Rail (was generously donated to the club’s free table). Picture shows half the roundhouse facility done for those who would like to see the comparison.

I’ve been constructing buildings to fill out the town; I have a few more kits to go.

Lastly, I removed the station siding under the viaduct / inside the town. I really liked this feature but the turnout behind the roundhouse was causing inconsistent operation with long cars / large locomotives with many axles. I also developed an affinity for longer trains and the station siding would only fit 5 passenger cars. Now we’ll have more room for scenery and we’ve simplified the operation of the layout; sometimes less is more.
