Digitrax pr4 question to the group
I wanted to see if anyone has had issues trying to use the Digitrax pr4 connected straight via USB to a laptop, tablet PC, or Microsoft Surface Book? I have a stand alone portable programming setup that has a PR4 that I connect my Surface Book or tablets via USB. When I place a locomotive on the test track, it doesn’t seem to recognize the locomotive. I suspect it may not be loading the Digitrax drivers as the USB device shows using a generic driver. I have searched all over online to find a way to directly install the Digitrax drivers to no avail. Any suggestions? I got this on eBay from Jim Aulick. It is a really nice setup. I just can’t get the drivers to cooperate with the PR4.

I cannot help with the issue at hand but that is a great portable programming station!

@casey-jones Yeah, I was going to begin building one and had some parts selected. Then, I happened to see this one on eBay. It was exactly what I was going to build (minus the Loksound programmer). I may figure out a way to include on one it at a future date.
