• Welcome aboard! ¡Bienvenidos abordo! ようこそ!

Hello! For those who don’t know me already, I’m Nicholas! I am a Gen Z lifelong railfan born and raised on Chicago’s Southeast Side. I am Mexican 🇲🇽 on my mom’s side and learned about 6 months ago that I have direct Japanese 🇯🇵 heritage through Mexico on my abuelita’s side, and am Italian 🇮🇹, Irish 🇮🇪, German 🇩🇪, and Swedish 🇸🇪 on my dad’s side. I have loved trains since long before I was old enough to form memories, starting off with the wooden trains, watching Thomas the Train, and being in a location with rail lines everywhere. I have been an HO-Scale model railroader since my later single digit/early double digit age and have learned a lot over the years and am still learning even more. I have also been capturing rail activity through the lense of a camera since I was 11 years old and started my YouTube channel at 12 years old. Since graduating high school, I have been an active volunteer at the Illinois Railway Museum, the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum, and the Historic Pullman Foundation (recently renamed Friends of Pullman National Park) here in Chicago. I have also spent the last 2 and a half years working for Amtrak, serving in onboard service as a train attendant. I spent most of my time on the extra board working onboard the California Zephyr, the Empire Builder, and the Texas Eagle as a qualified coach attendant, sleeper car attendant, and a dining car server. Coach was always my favorite assignment. It’s funny, I’ve worked for Amtrak, but Metra is my favorite railroad. 😁 If you see my model fleet and my artwork, you’ll learn fast that the MP36PH-3C is my all time favorite locomotive. 😂 I heavily model railroads found within and local to the Chicagoland Area, I’ve really gotten into the Mexican railroads a while ago, and I am starting to get into the Japanese railways too. I am also an artist and I create a lot of railroad art during my free time too. 😃😃😃😃😃
