Greetings
Hi. My name is Adie and I have returned to the hobby a couple of years ago after a 25ish year hiatus.
My layout is an end – to – end OO Gauge layout called St. Michael’s Road – named after my late father. The scenic side measures 13ft x 2ft with a 5 road ‘off scene’ fiddle yard.
At present, it is predominantly a steam layout, however…. St Michael’s Road MK1 is due to be taken up and Mk2 is due to start soon. This will entail a big change as it will be changing to a 13ft x 5ft ‘tailchaser’ layout. Yes, I have found a major fault with an end – to end. And that is the constant handling of stock when moving the locomotives to the other end of a train in the fiddle yard. So much easier to keep a fixed rake running.
I will try to keep regular updates of the rebuild and will, no doubt, be asking for advice from time to time
