DIY programming track
I am working on an N-scale layout (well, actually I buy the wood this weekend) and it will be DCC, and thanks to @Jimmy_DIY and others on YouTube, I feel like an expert on many subjects. The DIY aspect is very appealing, with the cost of nearly everything in this hobby being in increments of $100.
I am using the DCC-EX CSB1 with an old android phone running Engine Driver. I have resurrected a laptop as well to run JRMI so I don’t have to constantly be at the desktop computer. One of the items that is needed is a way to set aside some space for a programming track, or else use the main. I hadn’t made the decision when I came across a programming track for sale I think at GoodDealsDCC for a programming track that looked interesting. Just a strip of plastic not unlike the Kato Unitrack with a bumper at each end and two posts coming up out of one of the bumpers to connect alligator clips to from the DCC controller. I considered buying it but they wanted $60 plus shipping, so I passed.
