Found this application through YouTube. My name is Ian and I’m currently in the early stages of building version 2 of my model railway called Hushabye valley. It’s is a oo gauge first built over 4 years ago, titles rainbow springs, a town within the valley.

In the begining the railway was ment to be a retirement project but Iost my daughter over four years ago at 8 weeks old, during that time my wife used to play Hushbaye valley to her from chitty chitty bang bang and it seemed to really cam her. After her passing I built the first version of the layout which was an 8 by 4 oval. I’m now doing the second version which is a full room build.

The railway has given me the strength to keep going, a source of mental healing and is a life long passion. Everything on the layout when it is completed is a decation to her, my father and my childhood memorys with nods too all. I’m also a model kit builder so the walls have shelving with models on them.

The layout has two main lines with a though line for the main station, goods yard with a shunting puzzle, branch line and brewery and factory good in lines. I don’t focus on any one era of train type. It’s a mix of steam and diesel locomotives. The layout a freelance built within a fictional valley.
