      How many if you use a “EOTD” or “FRED”

      • I like it, but haven’t thought about doing this to my rolling stock. The immediate questions I would have are:

        • Is that freight car then a dedicated end of train car?
        • You would need an electrical pick up on those cars (meaning metal wheels and some sort of brush wire)
        • lights would be always on or you would have to have some sort of decoder with it. (If you go that route, you would dedicate that car to a certain locomotive or would have to give the end of train car an own address and run consists, if that car is included

        i guess it would make the most sense for a caboose.

        • Mine is battery operated with an on/off switch. The battery is one of those flat lithium batteries in a battery holder

        • So therefore ii guess you could say it is not a dedicated car
