5-5-5 to those who know what that means, and hello to everyone else. The group count rose to 167 and still no signalling group…so I thought I’d better put that right. Early days, so it makes sense to have a broad inclusive approach: Any company in any country, in any era.
Incidentally, cover and group photos are both from the Greenlane and Hillside Railway, a line now fallen on hard times but an absorbing experience in its heyday: O gauge coarse scale in a loft, but fully signalled and operated by the 1950s BR rule-book. No photos can do it justice- you had to see it running to appreciate what it was about, but it was a lot of fun for those privileged to play there.
