Maryland CSX Modeler Checking In
Hey everyone! Online I usually go by Voxy or Uvoxyuwin. I’m from Maryland and primarily model modern HO scale CSX and contemporary freight railroading.
I’ve been building up a growing fleet centered around modern CSX power, realistic freight consists, DPU operations, and weathered rolling stock. Most of my roster consists of Rivet Counter and other highly detailed equipment with an emphasis on prototypical modern operations. While I love modern GE power, I’m also a huge fan of EMD GP units like the GP38s, GP39s, and GP40s, especially when paired with slugs.
I’m currently in the planning stages of building my own layout and I’m also a member of the Four County Society of Model Engineers (FCSME), where I help operate on the modular layout during shows like The Great Scale Model Train Show in Timonium, MD.
That said, I enjoy all eras and styles of model railroading. Just because I personally enjoy prototypical modern operations doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate freelanced or hypothetical railroads and operations too. At the end of the day, the hobby is about having fun and running what you enjoy.
I’ll mainly be sharing fleet updates, layout progress, weathering projects, operations videos, train show content, and anything else related to HO scale railroading. Looking forward to talking with everyone and seeing everybody’s layouts and projects!
