• Hello fellow modelers!

Thank you, Jimmy, for sharing this on your YouTube channel! It is nice to have a friendly place to enjoy model trains with others.

I model a HO scale, small fictional historical freelance Conrail layout in the late seventies, in an imaginary place called West Ramapo, somewhere in northwestern NJ. Besides Conrail, I also like the Erie Lackawanna and the Reading–so I sometimes like to go back a few years and run them pre-Conrail.

For power I have an MRC Tech 6. I have one working DCC Bachman Gp-7 in the Reading livery. The rest of my working locomotives are either DCC ready or old pre-DCC ready days. The train table itself is a modified 4×6 layout built by my dad and uncle in December of 1980 as a Christmas gift. Since 1980, it has been mine, my cousins, and became mine again 25 years ago. The table has been remodeled, and the track layout has changed several times since 1980. Currently working on the most recent update started 4 years ago. My kids, being older, have given me a lot of great ideas and helped me out by making things look “better.”

Looking forward to enjoying this place!

      Steve.
