@Modeltrainmedia Thanks! I work about an hour at a time, sometimes it doesn’t feel like I’m getting far but eventually it adds up. I’ve been procrastinating on the rock faces for the canyon side for too long.

Are those rock faces from a plaster mold?

@casey-jones Yes. I have a few larger molds plus nearly all the Woodland Scenics ones.

never tried them always carved Styrofoam very tedious and messy

@casey-jones I tried styrofoam once before building this layout, just didn’t like the look of it at the end. The molds aren’t too bad, I spray them with water mixed with dish soap so they’ll pop out easier. I think the instructions says you can take them out after 20 minutes but I usually just let them sit for about a day.
