Started a news site that focuses on US manufacturing
I am new to this site and apologize if this too soon to post something like this.
I have been working getting my own small scale manfacturing operation off the ground (LANSONWORKS.com), but during that effort the news about Micro-Trains inspired me to develop a news site that focuses purely on model railroading companies that can claim “Made in USA”.
AMTN started after receiving the news regarding Micro-Trains being purchased by Atlas. We intend to establish a dedicated resource that focuses on those manufacturers in the model railroading space that can claim “Made in the USA”. It is very important that the good work of these manufacturers be highlighted and promoted. It is also meant to encourage, support and inspire other manufacturers that want to strive for this label. Their commitment to this status has positive effects beyond just model railroading. We intend to highlight community concerns overall on this topic, and to educate others.
I would love to complete the list of manufacturers that can claim “MADE IN USA”, so if you have suggestions feel free to send them in.
