A couple days ago (Saturday) I went to the New York Hamburg train show, and picked this up for 95$! It has DCC, but no sound. It’s an Athearn Ready to Roll model. Runs pretty good, and it’s slow speed is amazing. It’s been weathered and patched by someone (It was being sold by a friend) I also picked up 2 RTR SD50s in B&O Chessie, which both…

Hi guys, i have an HO scale boxcar that im going to fit a Bluetooth speaker into. I think ive found a good option in terms of speakers, gonna do a little more digging. Hopefully i can just pop the shell off to charge it.

The boxcar in question is up for debate. Ive got 2 good options, both Roundhouse (from the 80s). I can drill speaker holes…

Hello fellow HO Scale modelers, I am a new member, and excited to see such a fine place to share my hobby, which is also a tribute to my late Dad, John W, Ragland, who was an Brakeman with Southern Railway / Norfolk Southern for 25 years; my layout is dedicated to him.

I have attached a few shots as “teasers” for you here, there will be more to follow!

A while ago, I bought a pair of Walthers Mainline F7s, an A/B set, painted and lettered for Penn Central. Are they any good? Do they break the stereotype of cheap price means poor quality, or do they prove it right?

The models came directly from Walther’s website, with an amazing sale price of $180 USD for both. Both units came in…

I purchased the model from Yankee Dabbler. It was shipped in a standard shipping box with barely any cushioning between it’s own box and the shipping box, allowing it to…
