A GWR (Great Western Railway) 0-6-0 Collett Goods on the down grade to Somewhere passing the mine at Betwixt.

The Great Western Railway was also known as God’s Wonderful Railway because of the romantic association people had with it, taking them to holiday destinations in the south west of England.

A little bit of steam running today. A mixed freight hauled by a 2MT waits at the station to let a visiting passenger train hauled by a “Crab” from the LMS region pass.

A BR Class 42 Warship hydraulic diesel hauls an FNA Nuclear Flask past the Chateau Petite Roche Vinyard at Betwixt.

In the 1960’s to the 1980’s nuclear flasks were hauled by a single locomotive. More recently, they are hauled by two locomotives, even for a single flask, in case one of the locos beaks done, so the train can self recover with the other loco.
