Probably the coolest model railway carriage I have ever seen! It’s history is somewhat unknown, but from what I’ve been told it was built for a garden railway in around the 1940s. It has a fully decked out interior, working doors and most impressively, working suspension and a fully functional scale hand brake! Seen at a garden railway meetup…

Here are a series of photos from my kit bash of a Faller “Play Train”. I became interested in taking this on as a project as I was in need of a cheap, 32mm gauge steam engine for my garden railway, and had seen a few old forum posts from other people who had also modified them. I bought one on ebay for about £20 and set to work “anglosizing”…
