A Good Yard
Quick recap, I discovered the cork my goods yard was built on was peeling off the base Layre. The whole thing was rilipped out and redone with a thick layer of gravel directly on to the base board. The goods shed now stands on plaster rather than cork. I am please with how this looks, just waiting for it to dry so I can play 😁

1 step forward, 2 steps back
Recently I wired up track, point motors and a signal. It’s so cool being able to use the leavers to control the layout. Unfortunately, I noticed the layers of cork used to build up the hight of the goods yard to make it flush with the track, has started to peel up, after I did the scenery, so it will all need to be ripped out and redone 😕

Dapol Signals as so cool!
At £40 these working signals with lights are not a bargain but definitely worth the money

Port of Bristol
Having had Hornby’s PBA 39 for a while, I now have the matching wagons from Rapido and I’ve built Dapol’s Dockside Crane. These loog great together and I look forward to making a Dockside diorama

A few purchases
A new loco, the LMS compound. Improving an existing loco, a detail pack for my 8F and improving the layout, a Dapol LMS Home Signal

Hornby Sentinel
For the second time I’ve chipped the Sentinel l, this time I’ve removed the DCC socket as the wiring kept coming apart and have hard wired the chip.
